Little Things!

#simishblogs
This is how little things can help us change our mindset"
-Today while discussing our future jobs, I was busy blabbering about my shopping list.
"I'm going to buy a lot of branded sports shoes, and fill my wardrobe with them. Oh, and not to forget my 'activewear leggings', I said.
-To which my friend (Chris) replied, "I'm going to help my Dad every month in some way or the other. I'll pay the electricity bill every month to make him feel a little less stressed.
-Why will parents ask for money? I replied. They won't, but we can use 2% of our salary and tell them, "We want to learn to become matured and plan for our future and make good use of money", he replied.
-This came to me like a punch on my face.
-Why do we at times end up focusing only on materialistic things? Shoes, watches, leggings, tops, accessories, and whatnot. I mean, it's ok to look good and feel good but is only outer beauty important?
- How about maintaining a balance between luxury and necessity? Does the world need more money OR do they need love and companionship?
-I consider myself grateful because I'm surrounded by people from whom I get to learn a lot every day, every minute, and every second.
-Do you have such people in your life? And should we try doing this every month?
