A day of learning...

-"Ma'am, jo possible ho hi nahi sakta uske upar sochkar kyu dukh manaya jaaye? Main khush hu", he replied when I asked, "Aapko kabhi mann nahi kiya ki aap dekh sako aapke aas paas kya hai?"⁣⁣

⁣⁣

-Christ said, "Having eyes, see ye not" This man proves to be an example of, "Having no eyes, I see everything, I feel everything and I cherish everything from my heart"⁣⁣

⁣⁣

- It's been almost a year since my number was shared with 'Pearl Of Vision/Eye Doll', (A community that helps visually impaired people by making available scribes for them for various online/written exams.⁣⁣

⁣⁣

- However, this was my first time ever to help Mr. Sachin in his SBI online exam, as I never really got the time due to my school schedule, or planning to meet friends, or having a 'Me-time' on weekends.⁣⁣

⁣⁣

-I called him, I met him, and the first thing he asked me was, "Madam aap kuch khayoge, aap kuch piyoge?" ⁣⁣

⁣⁣

-We sat in the exam hall and we had around 40 minutes to talk. He asked me, "Ma'am aap punjabi ho? Yes, Himachali hu, aapko kaise pata? I answered. "Bas aapke language se pata chal gaya. Aur arey wah aap Himachal ke ho? Main toh bohot ghum kar aya tha peeche saal himachal 1 mahina bohot maza aya"⁣⁣

I then asked him, Aapko kaisa laga Himachal? "Bas waha ki thand MEHSOOS ki, aur aaram kiya".⁣⁣

⁣⁣

-"Aisa kabhi hua hai ki aapko scribe nahi mila hai"?, I asked.⁣⁣

"Haan Ma'am, do baar hua hai. Bohot dukh hua mujhe, lekin udaas reh kar kya milega. Zindagi mein aage badhte rehna chaiye, aur jo bhi ho bas khush rehna seekhna chaiye".⁣⁣

⁣⁣

-And we spoke a lot. I truly consider those 40 minutes of my life the best! ⁣⁣

⁣⁣

-How often are we thankful for little things around us? How often do we help others? How often do we appreciate others? How often have we thought about others? ⁣⁣

⁣⁣

-Would you rather choose 'A life worth living' or 'A life that has no meaning?'⁣⁣

Have you ever thought of how your office work or your passion or your daily work schedule somehow might help the society grow, or change their mindset, or help them in some way or the other to learn, grow and implement what they learn or what they see you doing? Or are we just living, getting up, singing/dancing/teaching/drawing/working for fun? It is just to entertain people or is it to give your best and spread a tiny yet positive message?⁣⁣

⁣⁣

-If not, "the life being then lived is not worthy". I guess I've found what makes me have a worthy life. ⁣⁣

a) Teaching and shaping the younger ones because they are the FUTURE and they can bring about multiple changes in our country. ⁣⁣

b) Doing Zumba and making people physically and MENTALLY fit.⁣⁣

c) Doing social service to appreciate the little things around me and to respect and be thankful for my body. Not everyone is blessed to have a fit and healthy body.⁣⁣

d) And last but not least, I would like to spend more time around these people and help them and not laze around on Saturdays and Sundays. I guess you should too? ⁣⁣

⁣⁣

-"Ma'am kuch toh khaa lo, 3 ghante hogaye hai", said Sachin.⁣⁣

"Haha, zarooooooor fir kabhi", I replied with a super emotional and happy face. What a day! ⁣⁣

---------------------------------------------------------------⁣⁣------------------------

-It's never too late. We learn and grow every day. We change every day and we build up a new perspective every day. ⁣⁣

If you would like to volunteer for Vision of Pearls/Eye Doll, do let me know. ⁣⁣

Go ahead, help them, feel good and feel blessed.
